Stopped in for an early morning coffee, Matcha, and a quick bite to eat. I love the aesthetics of this café. It’s really small and cute. Really appreciate that they have cozy seating areas with lots of manga to read. I got the Sanji crabcakes. They were good, but the middle was still ice cold after being deep-fried. We did technically come in five minutes before opening, but the sign said open, so maybe they didn’t have time to defrost these yet. The presentation of the food is also leaving a lot to be desired, not that it actually matters. It’s interesting to see that a lot of their menu pictures are made with AI and it also appears that most of the owner responses on Google maps are also written with AI. I’m a big fan personally.

I'm so glad we were able to visit this place! Just moved to Portland and this was on my list of places to go. Just knock and someone will let you in. The chrysanthemum tea was so refreshing and all the food we tried was delicious. Very reasonable prices and it's a relaxing place to hang out. We left after eating but I definitely want to come back and spend some time here reading manga. There's paid parking nearby. There's some paid parking lots close by for $10/day if you can't find any parking kitty spots.

Another review of praise. My favorite and what i always get is the fat and furious. But this was my last night in Portland and wanted to try something else with more of a broth. The kind owner and cook (unbelievable cook!) suggested the pork belly ramen. I’m in love with yet another dish! That’s what makes this whole dining experience so wonderful. It’s a small very unique place with his own touches and food he obviously enjoys cooking and is seriously 5 star quality. Frankly i don’t know how he does it. And being in a depressed area he and his place truly is a diamond among coal. Ya I’m going overboard on my praises lol (but well deserved!) but for my vacation here (staying at the Society Hotel across street which is another wonderful place) the owner and his restaurant made my vacation that much more great. If you want to have a great meal and interesting environment (felt like I was in an anima Tokyo tea shop) then do not miss this place. Oh and the free tea/coffee with a meal is just a wonderful touch. Jasmine ice tea for the win!

We had a great meal at GeekEasy! The pork belly is excellent as was the salt/pepper wings and tuna wrap! Can't wait to try other dishes.

If you enjoy Studio Ghibli, grew up with Doraemon, manga, all-things Pokémon and more Asian cuteness, this is *THE* café to absorb all of that calm & nostalgic atmosphere rolled into one. It is the warm embrace you wanted from your childhood. The café offers tasty home-made street food and snacks for you to lounge about while you read manga readily available on the shelf. Having lived and worked in East Asia, I can attest to their authentic flavors. They're imported straight from the source, made by folks of heritage. On a rainy day, you can sit by the bar stools with a warm drink and listen your heart out to Joe Hisaishi's best compositions while people watching meander by or playing Pokémon Go with plenty of Pokéstops to spin. There's also 中國象棋/cờ tướng (Chinese chess) to sharpen and ease your mind when the shite real-life version gets too much to handle. All for a very fair price to have such tranquility in a cozy space. Much of the arts on display (some for sale) and the large mural inside are drawn and printed by the multi-talented co-owner of the café. You can't ask for a more serene space to decompress in today's world. For coffee enthusiasts, try the Vietnamese coffee. It's bomb dot com (is it still kosher to say that or dated)?

So cute so cute so cute!!!! You have to ring the doorbell to gain entrance but once you do… Amazing little shop filled with mangas and figurines and everything that could make a geek happy. They even have arcade machines!! The food is always amazing!! I can’t recommend the Sanji’s crab bombs enough!! The spicy brisket ramen and pork belly rice bowls are amazing every time!! My complements to the chef as well as friendly staff. They have just recently updated their ordering service so you can use a kiosk now… I miss just ordering since the names on the kiosk are different than the names on the menu… but the food is so good, this is only a minor issue.
